Apologetic Topics

From the first years of the life of the Church of Christ, there has been a strong need for apologetical expression towards the rest of the world which had some association with the Church, was fighting it or was simply familiar with it. The Apostle Peter instructs and urges all Christians – especially those who hold ecclesiastical offices – to be “ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15). The saints and pastors of the Church laid particular stress on this area and thus many apologetic works have been preserved from apostolic times. The use of apologetics is important even in our days since our Church is always open to any well-intentioned dialogue, ready to convey the Truth it possesses to every person who desires it.
