Theological Conference of the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus

The theological conference on the theme "‘Primacy,' Synodicality and Unity of the Church" organized by the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus on Wednesday, 28 April 2010, was held with tremendous success. Talks were presented by the host and Archpastor, Metropolitan Seraphim and six other eminent speakers (four of whom are distinguished university professors). His Beatitude Hieronymos, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, declared the beginning of the conference. The attending clergy and faithful were informed through unshakeable arguments, based on historical sources and patristic opinions, about the ecclesiastical perversion of papal "primacy." The topic proved to be immensely useful and pertinent - an important and traditional contribution to the dialogues with the heterodox.
